Moving to Denver?

Well we are staying in South Dakota. My wife wasn't ready and the vote has to be unanimous so I guess I will still have to drive 10 hours to go sleddin.
Thanks for the help guys. You were awesome in your opinions.

Smart Man.

I'd live close to where you work. There really is not a ghetto in Denver (in comparison to other major cities). 5-Point is probably as close as it gets, and it really isn't that bad.

If you work up North, buy/rent up north, etc, etc.

I would like to have just 10 hours of driving vs my 22-24 hours!

I thought I'd give another option to consider, since I haven't heard anyone talk about the foothills. I live in Conifer, and work in the Tech Center (which is by C470 and I25). My commute is usually 40 minutes, and I do have several acres and a small town feel and it wasn't expensive at all.
My summer is a bit shorter than what's in Denver, but it works for my family really well, and it's still a heck of a lot milder than from Wisconsin where I came from. I'm just not into the cramped suburb thing.
Google Maps, and Realtor.com are the best tools to use to check location and prices. If you have any questions about living in the foothills, shoot me a PM.

Well i for one think you made the right decision (or your wife made the right decision)! I lived and grew up in denver/north brighton Ft Lupton area and now live in kansas and wouldent trade it for anything. (IE denver sucks bunch of tree huggin libs and low lifes) The only thing colorado has going for it is the mountians a few times a year going their is enough! Also it seems like every other house their is a forclosure and a hour commute to drive 20-30miles to denver sucks also !

Don't listen to playbaby... he's just trying to justify that SILLY MOVE he did a few years ago!!

Kansas? Really? C'mon... you're not foolin NOBODY there bud!!!:second:

btw, it does really amaze me how many people I see regularly up here that live in the chitty. A guy who passes me every day on 70 lives in parker, and works right by me... I'd WAY rather go the other way if I had to, but that's just me.

west slope to the city... no thanks, but there's a ton of great areas up here (or south, or north) that are out of the city, but you could get to work reasonably fast.

I agree if you can live in the mountains and work in the mountains it would be GREAT but he is going to live in or NEAR denver and wont be in the mountains every day so ya i lived their for 30 years and it sucks spending 6 hrs driving with a bunch of Azzzholes on 70 every weekend is not my cup of tea ill come their on monday and leave on friday and watch them pile up 70 well im headed down and if you never lived here you wouldent know i have more alive trees in my back yard then those mountains have left!
