You can trail ride on casper mountain, but the thing to keep in mind is that 2/3ds of Casper Mountain has been shut off to sledding in the last 15 years or so. Casper mountain is, for all practical purposes, a suburb of Casper. Not an awful lot of off-trail riding opportunity there, and its real easy to wind up on someone's land. It rarely gets enough snow to do anything but trail ride .... Doesn't stop folks from sledding up there though
I think most casper folks either hit up the snowies or madres as that is usually what has the most snow within the shortest drive.
The snowies are quite nice to ride out of the saratoga side, it isn't the epic cluster f*ck that green rock is.
