mounting scratchers on the swaybar mounts

I had a thought, and just wanna through it out there, has anybody tried mounting scratchers where our swaybar mounts are? I was thinking the slp cable type would work good there.

They'd likely need to be longer than the typical cable scratchers to reach the snow. Then you'd probably catch them on the skis when turning.

There are ski scratchers, but I've personally seen those fail miserably. A buddy rented a Doo with them on and any time we got into marginal setup snow (when needed the most) they would put themselves away. They'd flip up and hook on their hanger when turning.

Has anyone used the between the lines ski-zee scratchers?

Yes I ran them on my 174x3 T Pro. Pros = Gets more snow into the skid than any other scratcher I've tried. Excellent at keeping the sled cool. Cons= A lot of drag on the front end, sled gets creepy at speed if you land with uneven weight on the skis. In saying that you do get used to them.

didn't hold up ...tried two pairs and nothing left to show other than the mounting brackets ...
now have cable scratchers on the rails and they work much better.

They're meant to be deflectors (for the skag spray on ice). Material sends white sparks when touching with a grinder so I believe it would take gravel to wear them down.

I'm trying them this season. Will start with 2 mounting holes (skag deep penetration and keel deep). I'm betting I'll never need the lowest hole for my riding and probably try an even higher hole for spring mornings off trail.

I have the Ski Z deflectors. They go on and off in several minutes on the trail. They are reversible. I really don't notice them on the trail. They will keep the temperatures low on long hard trails. Never over 135 when buddies without them are over 175. I also use the Ski Doo reversible scratches on the rails. Good combination and you don't bend or bust them if you are in reverse.
