well from what i can see i wasnt able to open the image but i think that you might want to tighten up the limiter strap a hole or two that may help, it did for me i had tones of rubbing when i put my new track on dont know its weird but thats what i did and ill find out if it works or not, if not them im going to but some boggys there to take off the tention there thats just my .02

Were you running on hardpack or ice right away? Do you run ice scratchers?

With new slides you should be careful. There is a breakin period with new slides. I have never really worried about it though. You can toast a set fast if you run them hard when new. I think you are supposed to run so long and take a break. Repeat this several times.

It seems like they tend to wear to a certain point and kind of stop. Just keep an eye on them and ride. You don't want to replace a set of rails. They get costly.

Seems i was running pretty fast at first, so your thinking that melted them to fast ? I did notice plastic that had melted around the metal cleats. My straps just look like you tighten them from each side to pull them up i didn't see any holes. And sorry for the picture i know it sucks, i took quite a few but could not figure out how to upload then because of thier size. I ended up finding some software on line to shrink it to that size. Not really a computer guy so im lucky i have got this far lol. Thanks for the info so far and if anyone would like to see a close up picture shoot me a e-mail address and i can send them if you think you can help.

Lift the back of your sled upso the tracks off the ground, you want about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of free play. Then try it and make sure it doesn't ratchet under hard acceleration and your good. but make sure and break em in. or go to antirachets. never have to worry bout it, my track is so loose i get crap all the time, it's just not right.

anti rachets are the plasic circles that make your track spin. there on the shaft that connects to your clutch to your chaincase. look under your sled far forward as possible and thats them. should be four. new ones you only need two and have teeth that go through the track and along the nubs inside the track if your new its a big job to do. must take the track out and use a press to get them in. about 150 bucks. go to mountainperformance.com and go under rear susp. and youll find them. lots of people sell them. should take about a hour to do but if your new about a day. go to totallyamaha.com and they have instuctions on how to do it, also track tensions. as for your track get a fishing wiegher. about 5 bucks and flip your sled on its side and put the wiegher on it in the center of the track on the clip pull till 22 pounds of pressure and you have about 1 1/2 and thats factory setting. way to tight though. go aroung 15 for me. loose as you can without ratchting is the best. good luck:D:beer; :beer;:beer;:beer;:D

What year mm? The earlier ones were worse than the later year ones. Anti ratchet drivers will not help this problem that much, especially if your sled is stock. You can run track loose enough with the stock drivers to not have much diference. Yamaha sells a wheel kit to add to the front of the rails to help this problem. I have also had good luck with hyperfax's. They have a graphite type material in the center of them that really helps when snow conditions are marginal. Also like everyone else has stated it is important to break in new hyfax's for the first ride.
