Mountain Fit Hoods???

I hate to stir s**t up on these forums but i'm starting to get frustrated and would just like some answers! I ordered a hood and some vents from Mountain Fit Hoods on October 22 hoping to receive them for early season riding. It has now been over 6 weeks and I still don't know if they have even been shipped yet! I've tried calling numerous times, left messages and when I do finally get a hold of them they say were extrememly busy, hoods are being shipped out as we speak and I'm sure yours is in the order. They than take my name and number so they can call me back to verify that the hood was shipped out, even though I haven't received a single call back. When I called again yesterday it was the usual same response so I voiced my concern about the status of my hood/money and there lack of knowledge about there orders. The lady on the other end than got extrememly defensive saying they just came back from holidays (fair enough) and I'm just the secretary that keeps track of the books (fair enough again). She than goes on with her regular speech taking my name and number saying they'll call back... I tell her that this isn't good enough anymore and I'd like to know the status of my order. She than tells me that if it wasn't shipped out today (yesterday) they'll just refund my money. So once again here I am not knowing if the hood got shipped out, or if I'm getting my money reimbursed since they never called back!

I hate to call people/company's out but I'd just like some answers. If my hood did get sent out yesterday I apologize for this. If my order got lost thats fine as well, but confirm it with me so we can get a new one made up! But please quit sending me around in circles. I'd just like to know whether or not its coming and if it isn't reimburse my money so I can buy a hood elsewhere! By posting on here I'm hoping to hear other people's opinion and Mountain Fit Hoods reply's to clear this issue!

About 2 weeks ago I ordered some side vents from Mountain Fit for my M8. I was nervous about dealing with them due to what I have read on here. I called them asked if they had them in stock, which they did so I ordered them on a Wednesday, and got them that Saturday.....

I was trying to buy something from him earlier this year. He said he would have the item available to ship. Then after getting no reply's to PM's or voice mails I gave up. Not going to chase the guy around to give him business. Should have believed what I read about his business practice.
 
I have bought vent kits from him for three years and never had a problem. Everything shipped on time and showed up pretty fast. He replaced vents if I had a problem with no questions asked.

I have had problems getting anyone on the phone, but this year I ordered online.
 
we have had nothing but great dealings with them
ordered a hood for a apex got it shipped right away there was a small issue called them right away and they fixed everything asap

i was even calling them at 11 at night and they were answering
 
have seen as many bad posts about them as psi, seems customer service is not thier top priority. in times like these if you've got orders to get out maybe its a little more important than taking 4-7 days off for thanksgiving. know i had work at the shop this year and only took thursday off...
 
I called them about a hood and they put me in touch with mens toys who sells for them in B.C and had mine in a few days. Great guys to deal with i thought.
 
The issue with Mountain Fit Hoods is resolved. Wayne from Menz Toys was on it quick (even though he didn't need to) and got a hold of MFH. The problem was the website never charged me shipping and they didnt have any material so the order got put on the backburner. I understand that this stuff happens, but I think the customer service could've been better in letting me know the situation so I could've payed for the shipping, and know that it may be a bit behind schedule. I will give credit where its due though, the hood and vents were shipped out instantly and Bill from Mountain Fit Hoods covered the shipping costs for the long delay so thanks!

I doubt this would've been resolved this quickly without Wayne's help though, you went out of your way and helped a customer that didn't even buy from you! Once again, THANKS!!

I had a pretty good experience. I ordered a 5 piece hood vent kit. After about two weeks I called a few times to check if it was shipped, both times I talked to someone. The last time they sent a PM saying it was shipped and that they added something to the order for my trouble. I was thinking a hat or some stickers. It turns out they sent me a free bellypan vent kit for my seld!!!!!

So I'm extremely happy with them!

i think everyone is getting there vents, ive bought vents and hoods from him a few times and never had a problem in years past. Bill is trying to make hoods with new product and from what he tells me he's getting closer to achieving his goal. Sent me a pm last night.

So... have you got something from them and your speaking personally or just going off the forums? PSI actually took peoples money and never gave them there product,ive never heard this happen ever from mountain fit.Big deal they took a brake for a holiday as you say.. 4 to 7 days off you dont even know exactly how many days!People have lives to live besides work. Fa_ wk i hate these bash threads when its someone lively hood!

tried to buy a hood from them for my mt. cat. was told for over 2 months that it was gonna be ready to ship in a couple of days, sold that sled a couple of years ago, guess what never got a hood.
when you see several posts of people having the same problems with a company year after year it most defiantley shows something, and i never said they did the same thing as psi, just that i have seen about the same amount of posts with customers that have been dissatisfied with thier service, unable to get ahold of them for weeks at a time, no answer to emails ect,ect...

I have bought product from Bill at Mountain Fit for years, they have great prices, and products, they are as honest as they come. Granted, I know sometimes a little hard to reach, but you will get taken care of and not once cheated. He will go the extra mile if things get delayed a little. Expierence speaking---Ken
 
Just wanted to say that I too have had great personal experiences with all the parts and materials that I have bought from Mtn Fit for the last five years...Remember there goal was to take something that everybody wanted and the other producers were selling for astronomical amounts and make them afforadable and still just as great a product if not better. It is a business, and yes in the past its hard to get ahold of him, but I know for a fact he is in the shop 12-16 hours a day and is making all sorts of efforts to change that bad rep around. I dont think you guys realize that he is in the process of trying to make a better product for you, and for sure isnt taking any time off, unless its to be with his new born...At any rate, just wanted to chime in cuz i hate seeing these threads all over this site now, when it comes down to it, there is not better product, no better price, and knowone will replace the vents for free even if you break them from negligence. The problem is half of you dont take the time to call and say something about them or to fix the problem, but there is plenty of time to get on here and further tarnish a gentlemans reputation...Rant over :;Beer;:
 
I never meant for this to be a bash thread, I was just growing frustrated and wanted some answers. In the end Bill treated me more than fairly by covering the shipping and I'm sure once I get the product I'll be more than happy with it!

Very admirable Chance, im glad that things are alright in your eyes, I know you will be very happy with the product....if you have questions on trimming out the hood or mounting it give me a shout..

Thanks, mounting and trimming shouldn't be an issue its the folded tunnel and bum leg that is!! haha. First trip of the year made it six miles and got a little throttle happy. Needless to say my leg is stronger than the back extension of my tunnel. That was a month ago and I am just starting to be able to bend my knee again (thank god I didn't break my femur), but now I have no excuse to start tearing apart the tunnel and coolers. Hopefully have it fixed up for next weekend! :)
 
i have had a couple dealing now with mountainfit all good, i deal with mentoys as they are in b.c & he is great to deal with.:beer;
