Mountain addiction track rack

Just got my track rack and installed it and couldn't believe how hard the gas cans are to get off. Just wondering if anyone out there has them and if they will slide on easier with time or should i put some sort of lube on or what.

I had the same issue...Kevin at mmsports alomost knocked himself out trying to get one off....a little wd-40 works great, did mine 3 months ago and been working fine since.

I installed mine in Dec thinking the same thing. Rode a few times and they slide on and off fairly easy now. Haven't used them on the trail yet, but they come in dang handy at home for the snow blower :face-icon-small-hap

I just took a small file and smoothed out some of the imperfections on the can, works like a charm now:)

I also took a small file to gently remove any imperfections on the cans and then rubbed a little paraffin wax on the racks. Still have a snug fit, but can remove them without beating on them.

Just spray a little pledge on the rails and cans and slide it off a few times and it will be just fine thats what they told me to do and mine works just fine. You dont want them too loose so I wouldnt take a file to them.

gas rack

Just wondering, how long did it take to receive your gas racks? from the time i ordered one till the time i received mine it was 4 weeks. Anyone else have problems with Sled Solutions? Some are ordering direct thru Mountain Addiction, waiting to see how that goes.:face-icon-small-con

I got mine straight for mountain addiction and they didnt have any in stock but i still had mine within a week from when i ordered mine. great people to deal with and the day they told me they would be here is when i got them.

As I explained it was MY SCREW UP that caused the delay not theirs. Once I figured out what happened I sent you system out 2nd Day Air so you could have them by the weekend. I apologize for the inconvenience and is not the norm with us.

I use silicone spray....was really tight the very first time I put it on too. It had me thinking but now that it has been on and off a few times it slides on/off nicely....still the best setup around!

Ditto.... These have been one of the best additions to my sled! Just a rockin set up!!!!
