MOTOTRAX TRACKTION NOT TRENCHING

I found this vid helpful . 3 Walmart scales

Stock MTX all weight on the ski and mono shock 0 weight on rear of track no weight transfer.
Built a shock/air spring 200psi nitrogen. Moved the track forward 1 1/2 in. I was able to control weight transfer worked well no trenching. The stock cross shaft/ coupler was seized solid when I took it off just something to check out.

Mototrax will be the kit to beat now helico. That is what I wanted to build when I built my spring upgrade. Good job. I hope they reward you.

Do you think this gas springing action has deadened some of the liveliness that the track has in hard snow conditions? I want to find a solution that has the ability to loosen up for spring and hard snow, yet stiffen up and support welll for anti-trenching action. That's why I was drawn to the MTB shock idea because they have lockouts and my question is if it's an air shock and you leave no air pressure is it essentially just a damper with no spring at all? This is what I want.

Your solution looks very solid and well made. What are you sliding through on the sliding part of the coupler? Looks like it's steel on steel.
