MOTOTRAX RETURN POLICY

2 of my customers decided to return their tracks because they are concerned about the problems Mototrax is having. Both people are not into working on their tracks they would rather be riding.
1 customer had me install his track. Randy told me

because it was a used track he would not take it back. I rode this once around my yard once after installing it.(TEST RUN)
The second persons track was never installed but Randy said because it was over 30 days since the track left Randys shop he would not refund his money.
The guy bought this form me 2 weeks ago we were still waiting for parts.
I refunded their money
IF YOU WANT TO RETURN YOUR TRACK DO NOT INSTALL IT AND RETURN IT WITHIN 30 DAYS
I know of 8 tracks in this area all with problems
Same with the fork safes . That I sold to customers.

You are correct that the return policy is for 30 days and unused kits only, a very common return policy in the industry. You also failed to mention to everybody you are trying to warn on this message board that you lied to me and said it was unused, then as we removed it from the box we find out it had been mounted, and used, there were even deep gouges in the ski as if you ran it in a dry parking lot.

Anybody who does have issues with the kit can certainly contact us, we have even implemented a new customer service line and full time position to respond much more quickly. MotoTrax and all of our team have one goal, to provide the best snowbike experience and we are constantly growing, innovating, and taking customer feedback to achieve that goal.

I do however have an issue with you lying about the kit and then getting pissed at me for not giving you a refund. I also have issue with customers like you using Facebook and Message boards as a way to blackmail MotoTrax into getting your way. Anybody that knows us can attest that while MotoTrax is not perfect, we always try our best to be, and that reputation has been put to the test lately by a few people who are trying to take advantage of our customer service and willingness to help people.

NUMBER 1
EVERY THING I WROTE IS TRUE
When I brought the kit back to you I was offer a short track in exchange because you did not have any checks. That was Tuesday.
On Friday when I returned that's the first I heard you would not take the track back because it was used .
As far as blackmail goes I have wrote this off as a bad experience. I know I am stuck with these tracks.
As far as you taking tracks back how about the 137 on your demo fleet that was returned .That guy even tried to modify the rails to make it work And the one Randys wife rides was a used return.
THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

One cannot complain about lying when lying is ones own company policy guys. Sorry but that's just real talk.
I hope you can see it through this rough period as you're taking some negative press, and getting on here to discuss with us is a good step.

Another good step would be to start a thread that details known problems and offers solutions with pics.

If this is true, will someone please enlighten us as to why this is only happening with your company and nobody else's?

is there anyone out there with a good thing to say about the mototrax? im new to the sport and still torn between mototrax and TS. I talked to a guy at mototrax yesterday and I can say that there customer service is spot on. the guy answered all my questions and told me about all the issues they where having and that they have been addressed on the new batch that just came in. I cant say the same about timbersled called a couple Polaris dealers and all they could tell me is ya we have some but they no nothing about them. I finally found a shop in reno that was able to answer my questions but I had to call several dealerships before I found him. mototrax says he can get me in a 129 mountain with fit kit for $4500 and assured me it would have all the updated parts on it. after talking to Polaris he told me I should get the st le with tss and it would cost about $7000. after all of That it just made me wonder if the TS is really worth the money or am I just paying for the Polaris name.

Go with the proven product. You won't regret that but you will if you go the other way, I guarantee it. Has it been mentioned that MotoTrax likes to lie?

One Word "YETI"

I have no skin in the game, but I would not take either one (TimberSled or MotoTrax) if you paid me to ride it. That said, I'd gladly pony up the entry fee for the YETI. Just my 2 cents!

Yeti is like 2x the cost..and there is no dealers here, and no demos. I didn't know if I want to give up my sled yet...and already have a bike for it. But if I had no sled, and could see a yeti I woulda bought one.

I rode a timbersled and a mototrax and had a blast( as did everyone else ) and had to get one. Should have my mototrax this week I think according to dealer.

Everyone that rode one in the demo had fun. none of us own one yet. I'll post some reports when I get it.

As for "Return Policy" what motorsport thing has a return policy? can you return a ski doo if it breaks? I don't think so.. Warranty is something else. is there one?

1 year warranty. I haven't thought about returning mine, although I DO want some things updated/changed! I think that if the few things (that have been discussed on this forum) are done, it'll be a killer kit at a good price. I'm trying not to be discouraged from all these posts because for me the issues I'm having are relatively small, and can be rectified pretty simply. Maybe it was a good thing I didn't snow-check and got a later, more updated kit... That said, I do expect they hook up their current customers with the required updates free of charge!

I ride the 17 timbersled st le. I have to say i love it. Is it worth the extra $$$... Idk. The TSS is nice and you will notice it not being there when you switch bikes. The fox shocks are cool but not necessary. If you go without the shocks it takes a little more time to adjust to your riding preference but save you lots of money. If i had to do it again i would get a RAW and put the TSS on that.

Far as mototrax i rode with a 129. on the road it hauls ***! much better and easier on the groomed. In the deep it did well. Its hard to do a side by side comparison because i was on a older crf450x and he was on a new husky. I like the look and design of the kit but im going to wait a few years to work the bugs out. I want my toys to work all the time and be problem free. My timbersled is about headache free as it gets. Im sure Yeti is the same way. I just cant justify that much money right now

Everyone who is complaining may rightfully feel like they got burned, but ultimately you are responsible for your own purchase.... If you didn't have the foresight to wait a new companies first few years out, then you sort of need to just own it.

I'd go with a TS raw 120. I love mine and they are $4k out the door and will outclimb the MT 129.

Mototrax experience ??

I'll inject some positive feedback: my brother has a mototrax enduro kit - running it on a ktm300xc, not a single issue with the kit thus far (5-6 rides) hit a pretty sizable rock under the snow and thought for sure the spindle was busted, nothing appears to be affected. Granted he has not rode any other kits to compare them, and fairly low hours so far on the mototrax kit, but nothing to complain about. And he did not purchase assuming there was a return policy, this isn't a TV from Walmart..... I'm impressed that they even offer a 30 day policy - no sled dealer I've ever ran across does.

HELICO was a mototrax dealer until recently. The 30 day return policy he has issues with is because he brought a kit in for a customer. The kit needed some updates from the factory so it didn't fall apart first ride. The updates took longer than 30 days to arrive. Customer decided he didn't want the kit. Brian "Heli Co" gave him a refund assuming he could return it to the factory. The kit is still in the factory packaging and mototrax will not take it back.
That's the issue he is getting at.

I wanted to mention also that Brian "HELICO" was the first timbersled dealer in my area. He loves the sport and isn't in it for the money at all but is fueled by the passion for riding we all share.
I've had nothing but great experiences dealing with him throughout the 5 years I've been riding snowbikes. I did purchase my forksafe spindle from him which unfortuneatley ruined my fork lowers however that was NO fault of his and he even offered to return my money and try and repair the fork bottoms which in my opinion is top notch and represents his character..
I do take offense to "Moto4Life" accusing him of lying.
I can personally say that all his concerns about the mototrax product and company have merit.
If you own a mototrax or are considering one you would be wise to take his word and concerns with the product as the truth.

I understand your friendship and loyalties but I do not take calling someone out lightly. He absolutely lied, in fact we were in the processes and getting Brian his refund even though it violated our policy when we discovered it was used, then when I mentioned it he lost his cool claiming it was not used, then it turned into just fired it up. The more wear I pointed out on the kit the longer the test ride got. The fact it was mounted and used meant it was not new anymore, and worse, that I was lied to in the first place. So yes I am saying he lied and that's the honest truth, I don't expect you to believe me because we don't know each other but all I can do is tell my side and the facts.

Also the late parts is not true, Brian came to our shop nearly every week to hang out and/or talk with Zak, we gave him the parts he needed when he was their. So it is impossible that they were 30 days late.

CUT THE BS GUYS I NEVER LIED OR DECEIVED YOU IN ANY WAY . THE TRACK WAS INSTALLED ONE TEST RIDE IN MY FIELD THATS IT .Zak knew
Zak is the only person I talked to about these tracks until Friday when I had to hunt down Randy So if MOTO4LIFE is not Zak who is.
How many YZ 450, KX 450, pre 2015 KTM ,Beta and Ktm 200 Fit kits did you give that never fit the bikes. Tell the TRUTH.

We certainly did have a fit kit issues, that is no secret and it did cause us a lot of grief and immense amounts of overnighting very late nights in the shop, working through the weekend getting them right. Fortunately all the hard work paid off and we were able to get all the fit kits updated properly, the primary issue being mismatched parts. Now we have a much better system and notes for the proper fit kits so we rarely experience issues except on more obscure bikes and we inform the customer of the potential ahead of time. It was not always like this which is unfortunate but we are working hard to improve the speed and reliability of fit kit shipments.

In fact we have worked so hard over the last 6 months that for the first time since MotoTrax was founded we have a few kits in stock ready.
