MOTOTRAX FIRST RIDE NOV 2016

Thanks for reply. I actually made a washer out of 1/8 aluminum to fit over and held in by retainer/bushing but seems too thick so thinking about thinner steel washer? Unfortunately, no lathe.
Sent me a pm with your email Then I could send you pictures .Washers do not work.

Sorry for the long delay, been busy all week.

Anyways the original post I assume was the warranty mishap that we had on the first set of production units. All of those units were sent upgrades to fix an idler wheel location issue. Basically during our prototyping the kits had a specific track clip and the idler wheels that ran half in a hole and half out causing minimal vibration. When the production tracks came in they flipped the direction of the side positioning clip on the track and is caused a horrible vibration that would cause bolts to fall out of tunnel and in many cases chew up the idlers.

We sent out new parts to relocate the idlers, and if someone already rode and chewed up the idlers we sent them new idles too.

Also I want everyone to know that we have improved our customer service process and is run by Danny. We also have started utilizing a Ticket system so that if you call or email in to our customer service you will not fall through the cracks. As we were growing this year and got very busy the old method of responding to customer service issues was not working.
Idler wheel placement . Causing minimal vibration?

Idler wheel placement. Causing minimal vibration?

Definitely does not take any real genius to see that ain't going to fly! Moto must have a bunch of stoned rednecks assembling the kits if nobody noticed that glaring change(?) during assembly. Glad my choice is Yeti if I were to buy a kit.

I'm just curious of what bike you rode, I assume in Oregon, we had one of our demo bikes drop an exhaust valve at one of the oregon demos, the bike only had like 2 engine hours on it. It may have been that one.

Also the new 2017 ktm 450f's seem to vibrate a lot. I went out last weekend for a day with a 2015 FC450 and a 2017 450SXF and the 2015 was much smoother and quieter overall.

I was on Pro Calibers 501 Husky Demo bike. I only rode one of your KTM's for a few minutes.

The 501 is typically a smooth bike, was it more a Rattle or and Vibration, if the grab bar bolt back out it is more Rattle, skid bolts will result in vibration.

It was a rattle, my buddy thought it was the snowflap banging around. But we weren't sure. I only noticed it on the trail, 99% of the demo i was in the powder and didn't notice or couldn't hear it.

That photo is staged, the idler wheels were never meant to run dead center of the lug holes, they were mounted to be partially covering the hole and partially on the 1/4" strip that has no holes on at all.

Regardless, Pizz poor design and will vibrate regardless with them running even partly over the windows. Not to mention if they are only riding on 1/4" of the belting beside the window, that portion is going to wear extremely fast.

I feel for all the customers you have fleeced in your lifetime with your various failed attempts at being a businessman / designer.

So what have you built/designed in your life? Sounds like you have a lot of great ideas to add to the discussion?

Very likely the grab bar then, if a bolt or two falls out it makes a lot of noise but you would really feel it. Anything in the skid you will definitely feel it.

In a sentence; There is not room on the internet

In a sentence; There is not room on the internet for me to list everything I've built / engineered in my 35 plus year career as a fabricator / machinist / practical engineer. I've accomplished many finished projects that many of my peers and experts thought to be impossible.

My primary hobby is building my own sleds from scratch (sub 400 Pound Wet Weight, Ready to Ride). Many full mod Hill Climb aluminum tube chassis sleds (also sub 400 Pound Wet Weight, Ready to Ride, even 20 years ago). Modified a Russian manufactured Titanium ultralight so the owner could fit large bush style tires for Alaskan bush strip use (read, no landing strip).

In the next few years I will build my own non-bike based snow bike with a real engine (read 150 plus HP) and optimized balance and weight. All while being sub 300 pounds Wet Weight, Ready to Ride.

Loudhandle is the local hater for anything he doesn't like.
Tries to tear anything apart that isn't his personal choice of perfection.

And he is VERY humble.
