motorcyle GPS?

For Christmas this year I am going to try finding a GPS for my dad for his Harley. Any recommendations out there?

The Zumo 550 is made for bikes. It is waterproof and comes with a ram mounting system. Will plug in to the lighter or can be hard wired in.

Lot's of reasons to buy Garmin and they have waterproof motorcycle friendly unit's and decent mounting system's
Plug the thing into your computer with a easy to find mini USB - USB cable and use their website for updates (and it actually work's like it should)

What are you looking for in the GPS? Map navigation, waterproofiness, etc?

Any way you go, i'd go Garmin. By far the best consumer GPS navigation gear you can get (Trimble's still the authority for industrial applications).

And +1 for Ram-mount. Got that on my sled this year.

Garmin Quest II. Same model that Harley makes. The only diffence between the two is the Harley version has every harley dealer-ship pre-programmed into it. If your dad does a lot of touring, I'd highly recommend buying the harlery version.

Thank you, I have decided to go with the Zumo 450. He won't use the blue tooth capabilities or the xm radio.

Just think of the irony in the fact they pre-programmed there dealers in??? I guess those Harley guys cant get to far without dealer support j/k
