i have a 00 700 rmk that i scored a cylinder in yesterday out on a trip this will be the second top end in 3 years and i am just wondering if anyone has and suggestions on what to do with it wether to rebuild it back to stock or go fo some serious power and suggestions would be great

i had the same sled and put on slp power dome with pipe, can and boost bottle. was very reliable . had to make a couple clutching changes but dont remember what i did

yea i already have twin pipes and a boost bottle was maybe thinking of putting VES jugs on there but not sure yet want more power but dont really want to lose the reliability of the engine

Don't waist your money on VES jugs... they give a bit more bottom end, which you can work around with your current ones, but don't affect top end.

Get the cylinders re-niked and then have Carl's Cycle port them. Who's twins are you running. The 700 with Carl's Porting, SLP twins and an SLP head was a potent combination.

i am running slp twins i thought about having some porting done and a head but every combo i have found you have to run race gas in the higher elevation and i dont really want to mess around with doing that

Have you figured out why you have been takin down cylinders? I think you need to get that solved first.

yea i think i figured it out i tore the motor down the other week and found that a rod bearing went out in my crank that wasnt very old and it got so hot on that cylinder that it melted the top off the piston and the pieces are what destroyed the cylinder then i come to find out that the place that built my crank didnt have the tolerances close enough and the mag side rod was to tight
