is there anything special i need to know about taking the motor out of my 2012 assault?

Be gentle with the wiring harnesses and injectors/throttle bodies.

is it easiest to pull out the side or take the over structure off and go out the top?

Be cautious of the oil injection pump inlet fitting. It is nearly the lowest point on the engine and really easy to knock loose and / or bend. Which can lead to it falling out, and then you have another engine pull to do.

Lol interesting.... ive took all of mine out the mag side....

Well I go up and out the mag side yes. I have never tried it without pulling the front over structure though.

I am a little slow, but I have a buddy that can slip em out the side, real slick. I should make him due a instructional vid.
