not going to have mutch riding time this year, so stacking up some projects again for my annual sled projects
wondering what would be considered the best stock / near stock 800ish motor to build around.. i am always leaning cat on this question but would like something more unique or different if there is another 800 that can hold its own for 3000 miles gas and go riding at sea level to 5k elevation in the same day.
that last bit lends itself to cat again with FI , and eliminates most carb motors
not talking about chassis or nothing else, just survivablity of an 800ish motor ,, that includes systems that keep it running ,, ie ecm,fuel pumps ect. total package
top contenders at first glance for me,, obviously biased would be cats

how much could i trust an ETEC between sea level and 5k in the same day for 3k miles?
i guess part of the equation to even have any contenders in the same arena, there could be mods done to motors to help them from blowing up .. ex indy crank.
