Most fun sled ever?

Somewhere between too dumb to quit and flat earth
What is the most fun sled you have ever ridden?

For me it is my IQR 800. The Bad Oscar Customs 800 with the crank shop pipes, and BOC clutch kit pulls harder than my 900 RMK full mod did. I have had more fun on a short track climbing baby hills then I ever have had with a long tracked mountain sled.

I honestly am so excited about my sled and love it so much its unreal. It handles great, is a blast to climb with, is the fastest sled I have ever been on, and FYI, short tracks don’t take long to get unstuck! :D

Is anyone else having as much fun as I am so far this season?

I had more fun growing up on my old JD Sportfire than the RMK I have now, or at least it seems as though it was funner.. maybe it's because I was a kid then.. I dunno.. I have often thought about what you referred to, and buy a short tracker to make ALL the hills a challenge, like they used to be.. as maybe the long track is making it too easy..

Definitely my Nytro. It's heavy when stuck, but I've ridden all the brands and can't find a chassis I like more.

1999 Summit 600

Eleven days in Yellowstone and my 98 Summit 670X was falling apart at the seams.

That "rental";) 600 did some amazing things that week, have not seen any of my machines ridden that way since.

The bastards made me buy replacement windshield trim!

My paddle tracked shorty rev 800 was until I broke my femur riding it. Now I just stare at it with anger in the garage waiting for next season when Im well enuff to ride again.

**** it

For me honestly i have to say my current 975BB not for the fact that its a 166 and climbs like a dream but for the exact fact some of you stated; CAUSE WHEN I CLOSE THE FLIPPER IT PULLS THE SKI'S IN THE AIR AND MAKES ME SMILE EVERYTIME!

I often like to just dink around on it and like riding the rough pack trails just for that reason, its a wheelie after wheelie and theres really nothing better then lots of HP and a sled that will pull on your arms.....

I often think that a short track would be fun to ride as I have not owned one since I was about 16yrs old, phazer... think a short with a motor like what i'm running or a turbo, supercharge, would be a hoot and be less gas trying to find the biggest country in the area to ride everytime!

Good post and shared thoughts.... W/That said - Good Riding to whatever yall ride!

My Nytro @ 12-15lbs is my fave. I've never rode boost before this one and I love it. It gets the blood pumping everytime I open her up. And she's always up for pulling wheelies :D

97 ZR580 with long track conversion and 2" camoplast hillclimb track. Only because its the sled I learned how to mountain ride on and I put a ton of miles on it.

Wouldn't go back though!!

98 formula s 500.

not lots of power but were in the flats anyways, so its an awesome little ditch banger. Good on gas, 2700 miles and original drive AND fan belt! Light as sleds get too and a dream to thrown around and play with.

Fun for sure, but not thrilling like the M8.

zx mxz 600 2" 121"

seems like it would do anything, no other mods except track kept it reliable. put somthing like 7000 miles on it over the years i had it. had ot new in 98 and lasted till 2003ish when the stator went. the very next day my old mach stator went? weird. so i traded them both for my mach i have now which has loads of power but somthing is always breaking. broke a chain last time i was out

95 Arctic Cat Powder Special

I still think my first sled was the funnest one I ever had. Maybe because it was the sled that opened my eyes to how fun snowmobiling could be. I was into dunes and motocross and had a friend convince me to buy his uncles 580 powder special and start snowmobiling. I'd only ridden snowmobiles a couple times into our cabin and they were 80's vintage Cheetahs and Polaris.

I had no idea how fun it was going to be. I still remember holding the throttle down on my first ride and zipping up the tree lined logging road to the real riding spots. Still makes me smile just thinking about it. Every hill was a challenge and sometimes I would point it up impossible climbs just for the joy of sidehilling out after putting my measly mark up. Its not much of a machine compared to my new 800 xp, but so far it still holds the record for most smiles put on my face!

Not the most powerful sled I have owned, but definately the most fun was the 03 firecat... Rode it longtracked to a 136 for 2 years, and a 144 for 2 more years... Most fun I have ever had on a sled.
Got me around in the mountains quite well.

if it`s fun..then hands down my kids 1980 340 enticer..you can just tape it wot...if it gets stuck pick it up and chuck it. cant beat it any worse then my kids do..and it always starts(always!) we put a new blet on it this year (musta added 8hp) the old belt had to have been 15 years old..:D:beer;

My Mod 03 F9 162 Firecat. D&D 900 kit with single pipe, 162 Camo, mods skis. This sled is a blast to ride in the mountains!

i LOVED my rev 738 144, the thing was super light had enough track to go in the DEEP!!

riding it now feels like getting in a honda after a muscle car. power is addicting, i miss the weight of sled, the holesaw and sawzall did more then your wallets could ever imagine.

blasting around jumping rolling flipping over, always fun, but now i really enjoy the power and speed of the 1000, maybe boost next??!?!

1984 Yamaha Phazer.

Fook that thing was so advanced for its day, light, and fast as fug !
