Careful with the V-force reeds. You will want to keep an eye on them. With the CFI they are only controlling airflow. I don't know if it is heat or the lack of cushion the fuel provides when they close, but there have been quite a few guys reporting that they break or crack.

As for performance, what kind of budget are you on? The first thing that comes to mind is a Power Commander fuel controller. Otherwise maybe make some changes to your clutching if you are on a smaller budget. There have been some guys who have replaced the track and notice better deep snow performance too. You don't always have to look at the motor. Maybe consider a suspension upgrade.

I did a high compression head and stock pipe mod and it really woke that sled up. I've heard good things about the SLP twins, but I wouldn't want to run that much race fuel and twins seem very erractic.

Contact dfacey here on the 4m and talk to him about his RMX kit. If you can work a deal with him you won't regret the kit. I'm just not sure how shipping would work on that, but you would probably have to have anything you choose shipped to you anyway.

As monte said the V-force don't seem to work with the CFI, I have the same sled. I went with the Carbon Tech reeds in my stock cages and have had good luck with them, around 1100 miles on them and still are in very good shape. I was only getting about 300 to 500 out of the V-force. If your are wanting more out of your sled without throwing down some big bills, go with the SLP single and big air box kit, along with clutching from Carl's Cycle. If I remember right it was about 800 bucks give or take. I have had this done to both the 08 and 09, and there is a big diffrence between it and a stock D8. You will lose around 9 to 10 lbs. and wake it up. If you want to throw big bucks for sure look at the twin SLP pipes, have rode with a couple D8 set up that way and there is a huge diffrence between mine and the twin. For someone with lots of know how get ahold of F-bomd, he has some real good working knowledge of these set ups. Either way you go you will have a smile on your face when you grab a hand full!!

Just my two penny's

thanks for the reply guys!

seems almost only to rip off Vforce 3 Reed then ..!
(even if it was a hell and get them on ..)

have read some of the Power Commander .. and it looks like as a good investment ..
are there any that sell bolt-on kit?

a clutch kit must be purchased as well., useless not with a lot of horses on the engine when you do not get out on your belt:)

RMX kit., What does it go?

SLP-pipe require change of software, which must be made by polaris dealer ..
and when the warranty will lapse?

Regarding the budget .. I Thinking up to 2500 + / - Usd

Add 500USD to those 2500 and get a turbo kit from Silberturbos;)

If you contact your local dealer in here in Norway and get them to mount the SLP-single pipe you will keep your warranty...this does not require a reprogramming of the ecu.....but you can add an PCV, clutching and some air intake mods to that ad i think you will have a good start:)

Vi e visst ganske mange nordmenn å snoke her inne, kor du holder til i landet?:)

JP_Ra©ingTeam,
Tell us more about your riding style, how long of a track? what elevation do you ride? your weight? do you ride powder or trails? climb or boondock. I have the same sled, 163" track, ride 3500-8500' elevation. I have mine dialed in completely now and it's absolutely awesome!! Keeps me smiling all day long and has all the power you'll need without stepping up to a turbo. Give us a few more details and I'll reply with a set-up that should get you where you want to be. I'm running SLP pipe, cold air kit, Power Commander 5, clutched and geared right on the button.

Yes there is a flash for the SLP single, needs more fuel. As far as the warranty I have had not one issue with warranty on both sleds. I had the single pipe and big air, and cluthing done when I picked the sled up new, and I have had the update in both, had the voltage reg and ecu replaced in the 08, along with or small things and there has never been any issue with the work being done under warranty.

better late than never:)

I have 155 "track edition.
running both powder and trails
and some climbing

I weigh 85kg

so please come with a setup suggestions.
snow allered come here in northern Norway:):face-icon-small-hap

Hard to give you a setup without knowing your elevation.

IF it were my sled I would go this route:

-PCV
-High compression head
-Pipe mod
-Plug your Exhaust valve solenoid and put in a different spring

That will wake it up very nicely.

thanks for the reply.

PCV, I'm not sure what you mean?

i know That PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation
But What to do?

High compression head, is going to be bought
pipe mod requires changing the ECU?

plugging of the Exhaust valve solenoid, I have never heard of

PCV = powercommander five, its a fuel control box made by Dyno jet. They worked really well.

Plugging the hose on the exhaust valve soleniod made the exhaust valves work like they did in the old ves motors. Never tried this one so I don't know how well it worked.

ahh I see ...
my fault that mixes a bit here .. not easily and understand all the english: P

Who is the retailer for power commander?
, Or should it be ordered direct from Dynojet?

and it is only the power commander you need?, or is there an advantage to auto tune the kit?

if anyone has more knowledge of this please come with suggestions ..

I would contact DynoTECH
http://www.dynotechresearch.com/

You might have some issues getting one since you are in another country. I know Dynojet has some warning on being careful when you are buying in other countries because there are knockoff products. That or go to the Dynojet website and see if there is a distributor in your country.

Something else to consider is you might need an auto-tune. Your fuel is likely different than the fuel we get in the U.S. (probably better than what we get). So you will more than likely not be able to use a map that we are using here.

I would normally say go to your local dealer.

Buy the Powercommander from SLP. then you can get the pipe, air flow kit, and head all in one call. SLP has a very good map to go with the PCV that will work very good with the pipe and other stuff. Really makes the CFI work good. And get rid of the V-force reeds as mentioned. The Carbon Tech pedals work much better or just stay with the stock reeds.

Then change the track. Stock track sucks.

Buy a SLP pipe kit and a PC5.
SLP has PC5 map`s who works with their pipes.
Do NOT buy a High Comp head, it will not work at our elevation with our fuel.:nono:

Thomas

SLP twins, Carl's Head cut and map, Taterz Porting(added this year) Holz rear, Zero Pro fronts, 153 Track....works good
