I let a friend ride my back up sled at the end of last year and yes he center punched a tree:face-icon-small-sho. I've got almost all of the parts for it but I'm still looking for a pipe that isn't rediculously expensive. Anyone got one?

Also, I'd like to delete the DPEM (high altitude compensator). I don't think it's running correctly right now as it runs waaaayyyy too rich and loads up. The head is milled .030 I believe. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

i've got a stock pipe. the sled i just got has twin pipes on it, and came with the stocker, but no y pipe, and no muffler. can't use it even if i want to. pm me you email address and i can send pics.

I have a set of twin pipes that im not using and would be more than willing to sell. Let me know and I will send pictures

Bump, anyone know about taking out the DPEM and making this sled just a normal carbed sled?

Yes. It is not hard to do. It has been a long time since I did this on my 02 Summit 700. So, I'm not remembering specifics. Basically you remove the DPM rail. Plug/reconnect/splice/tee a couple of the dpm/carb hoses and jet it like an MxZ 700 for starters. Fine tune your jetting from there. You can probably look at the stock configuration and figure this all out. If not, someone here will probably fill in the missing details for you.

Run the carb vent lines to your airbox, then like was said start off the specs from a non-dpm sled.

If you don't mind, I have a few questions as well

Got my sons 2000 700 mxz out today. Intermittently loads up 1/4-1/2 throttle from a dead start and then cleans up well.
Full CPI pipe and can set up. new belt, old fuel (sure of it). very clean sled though, everything is straight, 2000 miles, great compression, dpm lines look in place, plugs are wet, coffee brown though.
A couple things I don't like. No exhaust dohnuts, poorly fitting exhaust junctions. May try some more RTV, can feel a lot of blow-by at the y-pipe, pipe junction. The stock air box doesn't look to fit on the carbs so hot either.
Any insight other than the usual, would be great.
Will pull the carbs off this week and look for shiiiiteeee in the bowls and go from there.
