Montrose area?

Nice to see ya posting again MD. I loved the time I rode up there at the forum ride. I don't think we got to those Mountains though. Kebler lot must have been full. lol Snowed so much we couldn't see more than a few hundred feet anyway. You guys are very lucky, especially to be out of day tripping range from the big city. Those hills are just too dam big though!

Thx. Still weird-ed out by the paid thing, but we'll see..

When I lived in Silvrthorne, it was wonderful having RE right up the highway. Those hills are right behind Lake Irwin. Neither the USFS nor County have any interest in fixing our parking. Go figure...

Snowing..

MD.

You don't miss much by not paying. The vast majority of members are still non-paying.

Be thankful they aren't focusing their big eye on your area. Looks like they have plans to "improve" the parking at RE :face-icon-small-dis

I google earthed that area and found those peaks. Didn't realize I was riding in the shadow of that extreme terrain. Looks like all sorts of ways to get into trouble!

738". Now thats the Irwin I know and love.
BTW that pic was take from the air. Correct me if i'm wrong, Sam.

Yea, Mark, that pictue was from the air.

Have seen some slides in those basins that really sober a guy up. Nothing to mess with.
