Montrose area?

So this may not happen, but I have a brother and sister in law that just accepted a job in Montrose and I'm thinking we may take a trip to see them once they're settled in, so is there any good riding in this area? My bro. in law is a big skiier, so he wouldn't be much help, but I know you Co. guys are into some good riding. So is this something I should think about more seriously or just not worry about it?

You can take a stroll over to the grand mesa. Its about 1hr or so away.

Many, many areas to ride. Grand Mesa, Black Mesa, Crested Butte just to name a few.

I live in Montrose and the riding is excellent -- many choices from 30 minutes to an hour or two away. Pm me anytime you want to tag along!

Yeah the ridge above that basin in the boundary. So the other side of the ridge is game, and also a great place. Forcast is 4-8" up there tonight.
