Has anybody been up Monte?

Thinking of taking a road ride up Curtis Creek just to dial things in tomorrow some time.

Is the gate up yet?

Gate was closed a couple weeks ago. There was about 10-12" at Curtis Creek at the time. Looks like about 20-24" up there now.

From what I have heard that the road has some snow and is "ok" with some carbide grinding. This was from last Monday.
It is butt cold up there so dress warm.

We went up today.

The road needs more snow and I am not sure where the 20+ inches are hiding.

We found a few pockets of snow and dialed the sleds in.

Needs more snow for sure just to get off the road.

Thanks for the info and it is snowing as I type right now.
A few of us are going to head up monday morning to do a little road/test ride but as was said staying on the roads.
Will post more info then.

we went up sunday had a pretty good ride still need more snow,
parking lot not plowed road is covered with plenty of snow.

Went up there today and it was alot of fun.
There were some good deep spots and not so good, I would say it was a B for the first real ride of the season. Put on 45+ miles and we do need more snow.
Road is in good shape they were grooming it today, parking lot was plowed (down to dirt) and parking fees will start tommorow.
We did manage to get some snow to crack and slide a little bit so wear your beacon.

What?????? I paid yesterday to park

The road on top was blown down to the blacktop. But back in the trees there was some good powder. But I was to afraid to venture off trail to much. BUT I WAS RIDING!

Went again yesterday and went to LaPlatta and it was ok. Lots of snow but no base with hidden objects.
