Monte Cristo

Went up to monte today.. Great day of riding.. anout 4-6" of new fluff all around.. Found some places to boondock that havent been touched:D:D!!good times!!

Went across LaPlatte yesterday and up towards Powder Mountain, really nice day, about a foot of fluff and a really nice base. Watch out for fence posts going across Piss ant flats along the rolling hills, two in our group hit some with no damage. Alot of short steep pulls back there.

Anybody seen the groomer on Monte???? Just wondering if its broke- went up saturday and out across Lightning ridge, found all sorts of untracked powder! THe ride back on the road was the Sh_ _ _ !!!!! Too bad they dont know how to groom! I guess they are to busy takin everybodys money to park!

From what I've heard the groomer was broke and should be fixed by this weekend. I sure hope it's fixed, I'm headed up on Saturday. This will be my first ride out this year, I'm getting a late start.

If anyone riding Monte tomorrow wouldn't mind having another rider tag along, please let me know. People seem to like backing out on great riding days. I'll be up there by 9am or earlier.

WOW what a day!!! Anyone of you guys see the Big Bulls feeding in the field just below Red Rocks this morning??

Went out yesterday, awesome powder and fair weather. Evanezer, Bobcatsummit and I saw a big bull moose around the LaPlatte area. Great day, burned up 15 gal. in 35 miles, about 2 mpg, yeah!!!

2 MPG? That little engine you have in there is a thirsty thing. I think I went thru around 8 gallons yesterday, but the with fun times that were had who really cares? Thanks for showing me around. I had a great time and look forward to doing it again very soon.

We cut work today and played in 3 ft of powder today. Over the hood all day long, should have some pics soon.

I seen them, but they were all beded down when we went past. It was a good day riding other than I blew up my primary clutch and had to be towed back. I looked like frosty by time we got back to the parking lot. But the snow was awesome and made up for it. I got a new clutch, I'm just waiting for the clutch puller to get here.

We took a guy from Wisconsin up with us and took him over to beer and wiskey, he just about crapped!!! It looked like a few people had been over both hills.

Must have been a jixed day, we towed out one that burned and another that probably squeaked a piston that day.

I didn't feel jixed. I got the sled when it was a year old in 2001 and have rode the snot out of it and this was the first time that it broke down. 7 years and not a single problem is pretty good in my book. Sad to say that it's going to be a tleast 2 weeks before I can get back up there.

The snow on Saturday was setup pretty good, what a difference a few days makes. Almost depressing after the epic snow on Tuesday.
