Rode Monte on Friday the 14th. We had to get really far back in to get to some powder that is safe enough to ride WOT. There is enough to satisfy my cravings though. We didn't feel like a 2.5 hour drive to the Uintas.
There we logs and what not but we could ride overthem and not tear off too many lugs.

Might want to check the wear bars on your skis. Two rides up there and ours are completely wore out because of the low snow on the road down by the parking lot.

We rode last Saturday. Road looked good but look closer, it was only 1/2 deep. Probably much better today.

Went up today and it is way better. Rode in 2 ft of powder is some areas. You can get off trail but I did see a few rocks and stumps that some people hit. Should be great after next weeks round of storms

Rode Monte today with my brother. Was pretty fun for a first ride. Still could stand to have a few feet of snow. Lots of deep untracked pow on the North flanks of the power lines (East of Little Monte).

Update

Anybody have an update on the riding conditions after the big storms over the weekend?

Went up today and there is at least a couple of feet of powder, but it still needs more snow, the top of the big rock on little monte is still showing. Be careful.

You have to know where to go, dont just hang out at little Monte all day. We went and had an epic riding day, lots of over the hood powder and not a rock or stump felt or seen.

I found out about 6 that UPS did not deliver the part I need to go so another day lost:mad. Thank you for the invite if I could I would ride with you I enjoy that area. Maybe we can ride another time I work a 4 night on and 4 off really hard to go with alot of buddies who work mon-fri. I plan on going up the first of next week hope hope!!!

Went up Monte yesterday!

Weather was really tough. Hard wind, snowing hard, fog sometimes so bad you could not see 50 yards.

Snow was great!! Lots of it and lots of it fell while I was there.

Next sunny day should be a great place to go especially if you know anything off the main roads.

Me and Evanezer are heading up to monte today. Hopefuly it will be a good day. Going to try some different areas across Laplatte.

We rode La Platte today. Sun came out and it was SWEEET!!. Snow had set-up just a bit before this last dump. Good times!!!!
