Hey use to ride around West Yellowstone at the end of nov. but that was back in the late 90's. Thinking about heading out there right after T-day anyone know if they have cracked down on riding out there before Dec. 1st?
Thanks Darren

Idaho opens on Thanksgiving day.
Montana opens on Dec 1st.

Not sure what the Rangers will do if your on the Montana side a couple days early...

Hey thanks Chris, will need another good storm before we decide to go or not but looks like they could get hit good tomorrow! Any help on snow conditions would be great.
Thanks Darren

On the island park side of the mountain there are 30 inches on the top of the ridge line.

Plenty to go play on when they open the gates next weekend.

4 of us will be in Big Sky the 1st of Dec. If you wanna tag along, your more than welcome. Of course it depends on snow conditions, but another storm hits tonight with a good chance to bring us over a foot. Big sky is reporting 40" on the upper mountain, Yellowstone club is saying 32" @9k, then carrot basin is reading 29". Once the snotel on Carrot hits 40", Im game.

Jon

Jon,
I will make the same offer to you, I know south of West really good and have a lot of areas that are pretty safe with low snow conditions.
Keep our fingers crossed for the next storm.
Darren

Talked to my parents and it is coming down hard in the Big Sky Meadow Village right now. let it snow
