Well that's gona change a lot of peoples plans of trying to climb it!! Lol. Let's hope for some new snow forsure!!The chute broke about 50 ft from the top and slid out leaving a 2 1/2 wall in the middle of chute. It better get a bunch of snow before BIS, or it won't be climbable. All the chutes in Monster are way different than last year because of low snow and alot of wind.
Nice nice.Lots of snow in the forcast so lets hope! NM and I had planned on going up till the boys at the top said to come take a look. The view from the bottom looked really good. Neil I got daryl making two new sets of blocks anouther 500thou bigger than the last set so that will be an 875thou. I also drilled anouther hole in my limiter so good luck catwalkin now...... Game Face!
Nice nice.
The Bullpen chutes are fine. There a bit low on snow, but definately OK.
I hope that anybody that plans on going up any chute has some help waiting at the top. There were alot of guys at Yamafest running at chutes with not one of there buds at the top to give them a hand...and good luck trying to drag it over the top by yourselves.
We have all been there, and the help is nice, even just to spin it around.
Heres the so called Monster..... See ya next weekend!
That's how it got it's name. Mike Irmen climbed it last season at Yamafest. They have all been climbed.Has the center one (Irmens Arm) been climbed?
I like to tell green riders that speed is your friend...well it really didn't apply their. lolWatching the vid right now with the kid,she dances in her pink toto with the tunes lol. Comparing the vid to your photo. The last 3/4 is where it looks like it gets steep?Every one seems to have alot of speed going until then.Well then theres Neil of course....Mind ya Video and photos wont give it justice.

Thanks Turblue. Hope we don't ned the help, but probably will.
This is the chute on the far left (south) side of Monster bowl. Paul Gibbs and myself climbed it last season as well.
I've climbed a couple of "Monsters" this year using Redbull and vodka for boost. These were some of the biggest chutes I have ever saw in my life
Got hurt pretty bad on the last one when I hit it WOT. Got flipped onto my back and crushed. So, I have given up on big chutes and boost for now. It is all about the flatlands and bunny hills for me.
