Monster at boulder

Dude,

I rode a stock 600 RMK over the top several times last year in four foot of the freshest pow you ever seen! No boost.

Now im gonna get some popcorn, sit back and enjoy some of these pics.

Dave Knight - 2004 Ski-doo 800 Rev, stock motor with lightweight can. No Boost and No Nitrous - stock except the can. Footage of climb is on the movie Back in the Saddle.

Any 800 is capable of doing it in the righe snow conditions (like hardpack). Props to Dave for having the b@lls to do it, I have seen stockers go over it later in the season too. To do it in the deep powder though, you need some serious power (like something with a four figure displacement and a whistle....:D)

Yawn...............It was named the monster back when a 600-131 was a long tracked big mountain sled. More popcorn pleeze.

I heard that there may be some guys headed in there Fri. for a Big Iron warm up.;)
I don't think anybody has climbed them yet this season.

Think of it this way for once. I would rather pull it with bunch of powder then when dave pulled it. I think if you do make it when it in the late season the damage would be way worse. All the the power in the world in deep snow big deal.

Monster is not a pull to lauph at, its claimed more victoms than people that have made it. Josh and I are headed out tonight Neil.

LMAO I used to climb chutes in Hero snow with my 800s. It's not as simple as you think taking 300 HP up a chute with 3 feet of fresh. I'm way more impressed with these guys going at Monster when there is actually some snow.

so.. was it slayed last weekend?? Im hopin to check it out this weekend if this run right
The chute broke about 50 ft from the top and slid out leaving a 2 1/2 wall in the middle of chute. It better get a bunch of snow before BIS, or it won't be climbable. All the chutes in Monster are way different than last year because of low snow and alot of wind.
