modular 2 helmet

I have to agree with Jake, to the extent that even in good fun, there has been enough fun made of people, due to their modular helmet choice. I know most of us flatlanders have tried them. I still have mine, and it comes in handy for cold trail rides. I also have a new moto helmet, that we all know works better off trail and on the hill. I'm hoping to use mine in Co. shortly. I have a very good friend that is a super mod, and also from Mn. He would not make fun of anyone, even if not a mod. That is just the kind of person he is. I do think that there is someone on here that could have answered the man's question, but didn't because of the joking. I don't think that is being fair to a member (one of us).

Does anyone know if the collett 900 communicator designed for the BV2S helmet will work in the modular 2? The BV communicator has a mic that goes through the mask and attaches. Im justs wondering if it will go through the mask of the modular 2 and if there is enough clearance for the jaw piece to close. Anyone ever try that?

I dropped you a PM with this link but I figured I would post it here also just in case others were looking for the info. http://www.collettcommunicators.com/bv2s.htm it talks about how to modify your BV2S for the Collett. And I agree when the weather gets sub zero the BV2S is a nice warm helmet. I know I like mine for the cold days.

I haven't seen "bashing" in here yet. I've only seen laughing. HCR himself said he wasn't a fan of the helmet...and I didn't see anyone bashing HCR or actually bashing the helmet.

My apologies to HCRRider for this thread going in a different direction that his question...(they often do that around here).

Having a little fun and belittling someone for a simple question are two separate things. Lead by Example Moderators, then maybe you would get the respect you feel that you deserve.
