modular 2 helmet

Does anyone know if the collett 900 communicator designed for the BV2S helmet will work in the modular 2? The BV communicator has a mic that goes through the mask and attaches. Im justs wondering if it will go through the mask of the modular 2 and if there is enough clearance for the jaw piece to close. Anyone ever try that?

I know I dont like em either..and I typically dont wear one..but running a race, in cold weather and need communication. The open face does not work well with communicators. And seeing temps in the -40 range, I dont want to freeze.

You'll probably get a straight answer or at least someone that knows from a mostly flat landers forum like dootalk www.dootalk.com/index.php I would have joined in on the ribbing but I think ya got the point already!

Don't take kindly to that type round here!

NMFH... gotta admit it is funny :beer;

Wear your sno-cross helmets on a 2200 km ride in the back country when its -50 for 5 days and lets see how much you laugh then!! I have done it in 2008 and dont want to do it again. I agree, typically there is no place for a closed face or modular helmet, but sometimes dont have a choice. Thanks for the help!!

copy 2, reading you five by five, how copy?

So someone has a legitimate question on this site. You as a "Super Moderator" say ha ha to a thread that has turned into a "Lets all be funny and bash Modular Helmets"

Do you really think HCRRider found it funny that he wanted an answer to a question and took a bashing for it. Yes Scott you are one of the members that started the bashing of people wearing Modular Helmets, why else would you come on and say ha, ha on a thread concerning Modular Helmets. I prefer to bug you, you scrawny piss ant. NorthMNsledder you are a piss ant as well. Since you moderators like to hide behind your keyboards, Please PM me and I will be more than happy to let both of you call me or I will call you to discuss this in person.

Have a little respect for the members of this site........that is what "moderators" are supposed to do. You are doing nothing more than allowing the bashing to take place by doing nothing or participating in it. Both of you sure are stand up people................you losers.

LOL What does that have to do with it?

Fine, I'll answer his question...(JUST for you BigJakey)

I have no idea what communication unit goes well with a modular 2. Never seen or tried to use them.
I do know that a lot of easterners use the modular helmets for the really cold weather. Probably a smart move for a ride like you are planning. I doubt I'd wear a MX style helmet for such a ride either.

Snow_Fox would be proud too. :)

DUH!! Did it take you this long to figure that out.

My point being you and the other moderators should be leading as example for other members to follow. You know, A Higher Standard.
