moding a stock nytro skid

i see on some guys pics they have floats in there rear skid taking that spring out just wondering whats has to be all done to make it so the floats all work properly and no susp binding thanks

we're not just putting floats on the rear, we are adding the timbersled mountain tamer suspension which is based on the floats. www.timbersled.com this also gives you lightweight drop brackets, and reduces the sled weight by about 35-40 pounds. ski

ok awsome yeah the timbersled one is pretty pricey when i can get a hole M-10 for 3grand so i mite just do that the stock skid isnt very nice on bumpy trails mitejust put floats in the front

the best thing you can do to make a stock skid work is put apex springs and an oliens rear shock. suck up the limiters, even drill a new whole. you can also put a shim in the slide of the rear torque arm to help it couple faster. anything to stop those bad wheelies...

I tried alot of combos...finally gave up. I could make it work climbing hills but on the trail it rode like a hockey puck. One day the rear main bolt broke where it bolts into the tunnel.....had to ride it out....twisted it all to sh!t so it gave me an excuse to throw it in the metal bin. I had apex springs, good shocks and all...no go for me.
