Modifying stock m7 pipe?

i was told that if you cut the stock m7 pipe and make it 1/2 inch longer that it will have close to the same effect as a speedworks single. Any one ever heard of this? let me know.

Isn't that pretty much the Bikeman mod? Been a while memory is a lil hazy

You also need to modify the pipe's stinger. Its the Bikeman Pipe Mod.

just shorten it in order to fit the can?

more info please i heard it was fairly simple if you know what youre doing

You change the size of the internal stinger, I have no idea what exactly they do with it. IMO, if you don't know exactly what you're doing then its best to leave it to the experts.
