Modded Rev seat

I know anyone with a rev sled knows how useless the storage pouch is, my dad rides an M7 and i love all the space under the seat. I also dont like the tail look the seat has, so i descided to mod the sucker,

I cut the plastic and foam on the part in the back were the plastic runs down and mounts in the back of the gas tank. then i cut the inside off the storage pouch out, and pulled the stiff plastic out of the flap. Now i took the sawzall and cout out a good bit of foam in the back of the seat, it will fit either kind of sno-bunjee in it which is what i wanted. then i stapled the excess material back down to the plastic. Now the pouch opens into a good size hole between the tank and the seat. If there is nothing in the compartment you feel a soft spot in the back of the seat, and when the bunjee is in it that part is just a little harder. it looks kinda/very dumb, but it shaved about 4-5 pounds of foam and plastic and now i have much more in seat storage and also much more space on the back because the gay tail thing isnt in the way.
hopefully pics tonight.

my sled has been broken down for almost a month and a half, im doing stupid stuff to it now, i really dont care how it looks, its a piece, i use trees as steering devices, or parking brakes, i have cut out sections of my pipe to fix dents, my nun is tig'd together, my water pump outlet is JB welded in place, my suspension linkage is all homeade, my front bumper is a peice of 3/8 steel rod. and the list goes on, this is the least weird part about it.

AND IT SAVED WEIGHT!!!!

ummm, can I suggest a couple other useful things for your Rev?

need some more venting in the back of those panels to get let the clutches cool a little more...

and when you are wanting to put a stocker seat back on that bad boy IM me, I will drop it off next time I am in whitefish...

I went a differnet route...barely can tell the difference huh :)

I think you should take the sawsall to the back half of your tunnel, and try and save another 5-10lbs. That's one of the funniest mods I've ever seen. You might be a redneck if........................

Yeah that is super cool. I am going to take it that you did not buy the sled. because if you did you would take a little bit better care of it

nope i have spent every $$ my self on it, which is a lot more than i would have liked to. if it keeps going i keep riding it, i beat my toys until they break, and then make them keep going. i dont give a chit how anything looks, if it works i ride it.

it makes it really easy to make people look foolish because they think, oh his sled is a peice, he cant ride, and then make a line that scares you.
i learn to do a lot of things the hard way, including navigating around trees

and now i can actually fit a roll of duct tape in the back:D
