mmax 700 bogging in deep sno

i took the mmax out tonight to do a little ditch riding and when id go to bust into a drift if i wasnt wide open with the front end high it seemed to want to bog down bad enough it wanted to die i have the stock single pipe with bender can, it seems to be worse if i lean the sled to the right any help would be awesome because im planning on going to laramie in acouple weeks. O ya and i bought this sled a year ago and have never rode it much to notice this

A snow deflector down 2.5 inches in front of exhaust outlet is a must on these triples and don't forget to silicone the outlet around the can to keep the exhaust from coming back up under the hood.

Duct tape the air intake vents under the hood. This eliminates the steam from the engine compartment from entering into the air box. If you raise the hood, there are two sets of vents located on each side of "U" were the steering column goes thru. That leaves only the outside vents for air intake.

Exhaust is not breathing. I used a ski doo snow reflector. I live in Laramie and went up today, watch out for the rocks and stumps, the snow settled pretty good after this last storm! If ya want any additions to your sled pm me. I am parting out my 2000 mm with lots of extras that you would LOVE!

Can you explain this a little more for me? i have the same problem and ive heard of guys doing this but im not quite sure what your doing. Are you taping off the vents on the air box or vents on the hood? Also why tape off these vents versus the other vents? Thanks for the Help!!

That is right on. Worse with triple pipes. Another good thing is to open up the intake and use a screen used in the turbo's to cover. It is the screen seen on the intake of turbo's, waterproof but allows LOTS of breathing. I made my intake way larger than stock and sealed off the underhood air. In deep snow it will allow air but NO snow:face-icon-small-coo
