Mixing 114 and 91 octane

If you mix these two at 50/50 what octane do you end up with and what boost are you safe with?Thanks

you can't just average your research octane numbers. you would have to know the MON of each fuel and figure it out that way

I was told if you mix 110 and 91 50/50 you end up with 95 octane. So it looks like that would only give you 96 or 97.

Anyone else notice that all the calculator in that link does is average the two? Like LeftyM77 said I don't think that works with RON octane numbers. It might work with MON number, I don't know. 91 octane pump fuel is not 91 MON.

That ratio meter doesnt hold true according to one of the guys on here that is a petroleum engineer. In the 2 stroke private thread we used to have he explained it in a way that uses a few different calculations to determine octane when mixed including, but not limited to,: detergents, additives, and ethanol. Very complicated and risky to do it that way IMO.

You say risky, but for those of us that don't need to run full race fuel, how else are we supposed to do it?
