Mixing 114 and 91 octane

102.5 As for boost, I cant tell you. I know just enough about turbos to be dangerous !!
 
I was told if you mix 110 and 91 50/50 you end up with 95 octane. So it looks like that would only give you 96 or 97.
 
That ratio meter doesnt hold true according to one of the guys on here that is a petroleum engineer. In the 2 stroke private thread we used to have he explained it in a way that uses a few different calculations to determine octane when mixed including, but not limited to,: detergents, additives, and ethanol. Very complicated and risky to do it that way IMO.

You say risky, but for those of us that don't need to run full race fuel, how else are we supposed to do it?
