missing lugs on 2.6 track

New as in brand new? No that would be an issue. New as in a few hundred miles? Yep, not proving to be a real durable track from the way it looks. I am missing chunks and looks like more arent far from coming off at under 300 miles.

Ive probably got around 250 miles on mine. 16 holdover 163". First weekend in early season, no base riding, i got hung up on a couple logs. Beat on it way more than i should have in those situations, no damage showing yet...

900 miles on mine, missing maybe 5 lugs and another 6-8 half lugs. There has been a lot of talk about durability of this track etc. I can say it has lost a few more lugs than I like, but my old 2.4 track would also throw lugs when I beat the hell out of it.

Just for reference I am not kind to my track, and my lack of skill has me using logs and rocks 5 feet under the snow to get some traction in the tight nasty trees most days I ride.

if you have an extreme or ultimate rear bumper make sure the mounting bolts go from inside the tunnel to out. Had a friend lose 2 lugs with only 150 miles...

Yeah BMFab rear bumpers require the same.
I've got a couple spots where part of a paddle is missing but that's all chalked up to one ride where it was a very nasty trail. IMO, that's not the track's fault. It's designed for deep snow. Not long hoping or running up ice chutes like I put it through.

High speeds will do that on an large paddle track. If you have done any top speed runs, that's probably your culprit. We have not seen many 2.6's missing lugs at all (very few places to get to high speeds here). What we do see is the wear from the hi-fax on the non-clipped area.

The non clipped areas definitely show wear. I'm creeping up on 500 miles this year and can see some less than desirable markings there.

You guys are hard on ****!

Zero damage to my 3" track last season in 1100 miles and zero damage to my 2.6 this year with a little under 300 miles. No hyfax wear either..... Instead of clipping the track, remove the hyfax and put a radius on the out side edge. The hard 90* angle is whats cutting into your track. Eric

zero damage to my track in 600 miles. little wear on the non clipped parts but im not worried about it. high speed runs and keeping it pinned over everything during low snow will destroy them

But you gotta risk it to get the biscuit :face-icon-small-con

1500 on a snowchecked (2) 16 Axys 163/2.6 ridden almost every weekend- No missing paddles and when trying gears seen speed in excess of 88 but for not long rungs for sure- not designed that way- Overall very pleased with the durability of clients sleds brought in.
Clipping sure helped- and the log spinning has caused a few to tear on the tip but no separation for the basetrack

Lost a couple, but i hit **** too. I always get a kick out of the guys that complain about losing lugs and act like theyve never took the thing out of the trailer.

88 MPH ??? I have a 17 and the Speedo pickup in Brake rotor .. best I've done on a groomed trail with a 2.25 at 23/29 gears and 8 tooth driver is 91 MPH GPS (82 on 7 tooth Speedo)

What gearing are you running ?? I'm at Sea Level and if your running a 2.6 and getting 88 MPH . My clutching might not be as good as I thought ..
