Couple questions which has the best bang for the buck? Can you fit 3 long track sleds in a 20-21 ft trailer? Looking more for a 26 ft which one tows the best. I've really liked my friends 26 mirage. How's the pace compare? Input on all would be appreciated. Thanks.

"can you fit...." if 8' Wide yes...

My Mirage is a great trailer, no issues...fits 4 174" sleds without a problem...it is 24' on the square + vnose...So it is not a small trailer, but I would not have it ANY smaller...rides fantastic behind my duramax...

I just sold a 2001 haulmark 17', I carried three 162's in it all the time, drove all three in the front, split the two fronts and the tail of the rear fit into the nose of the trailer. The ski's of the rear one kept from swapping paint in the trailer. Handy little trailer. I traded it for a Charmac to let the kids grow into.

My buddy has a 2008 Charmac Tri Sport 28' very nice trailer + very versatile for hauling his show car to car shows. I think for the money the quality of the Charmac Trailers is hard to beat, but you won't find me trading in my Triton Prestige for any of the trailers you mentioned. :D

I was set on a mirage but now I'm worried reading all the bad posts about mirage trailers. There's a pace american dealer right in town and really like the way those trailers look. Any info on them? Or any other trailer

If you decide to buy a Mirage, I will personally guarantee it as long as you own it. Let me know and I will also make sure you get a fair price.

I have a 28 foot mirage High mark extreme no big issues had a few recalls but overall very happy with it, If you go that route go over them very well before accepting it they have a lack of quality control in the fit and finish department but other than that tows great and fits 5 162 sleds. one thing i do like about mirage is the ride height its right between the trailers like the over axle charmack and the low trailers that have the wheel wells.

I have about a 20 foot charmac. Awesome trailer. It is insulated with a heater. Only trouble I have had is a few screws backing out. I just siliconed them. A few of the rubber stops need replaced on the doors but the trailer is 8 years old and I use it to work out of too. You can put 3 sleds in it if you run the first two in facing the back door and drive the 3rd in between. The other great thing is no cables in the way. Springs are wound in the bottom of the door. Buddy had a mirage and it didn't hold up that well. Not sure on the other two.

I wouldn't buy another mirage no matter how good of deal I got on it.

Mine is 4 years old and looks 10, build-quality issues nowithstanding.

I have a 2006 26' Mirage Extreme Sport. Really like this trailer very much. No issues other than some screws backing out. Simple fix by putting silicone on them screws and you're good to go. Also it still looks like new with no blemishes and metal/aluminum contact issues as indicated in the other thread. I wash my trailer after every trip with a very good soap/brush job process. Either my Mirage was built right with tight quality control standards or my strict upkeep process has kept this trailer in tip top shape. I plan to convert this trailer into a gooseneck hitch since I like it so much I have no plans to get a different or new trailer. I had a 8.5 and a 7 wide before settling on this 8 wide. Feel the 8 wide serves the best of both worlds so to speak(7 and 8.5 wide), Have towed 3 sleds most of the time and like the extra space yet, can tow 5 sleds and still have some space left for gear and such. If I was you, I'd look at a 26' like mine and your friends. Would'nt go bigger or smaller even if it was a tad cheaper.

I have 8 year old Interstate trisport that has been a fantastic trailer. Had I done a better job at keeping it clean it would still look like new. That is goig to be what determines how it holds up down the road. You take care of it and it will take care of you.
Wells Cargo is a step above the rest though. If you will pay for it they are worth there money. Other than that Mirage has the best features hands down.

What makes wells cargo better then the rest?

Anyone have a Carry On? Just bought a 8.5 X 20 enclosed car hauler from them. The quality seems fine. They use a thinner aluminum siding, so it isn't as flat as haulmarks and such, but does anyone have anything to say about the non-aesthetic related quality?

triton 32 enclosed sled trailer that tows great and has lots of options that werent on other for years, And I have a mirage trisport for a steel enclosed with the big door and can carry race car

Sorry bud, I forgot to check back on this.
Wells Cargos for one hold their resale far better than any other.
Second, the way they build their wall and floor sections and paint the frames are just done better than the rest. Most issues people have with steel trailers are caused by poor prep and paint at the factory. I have seen very few Cargo's with these issues.
You do have to pay more for them but, you are getting more for your money. I have not owned one so this is not biased.
Charmacs are great trailers but they use a hinge spring that makes the doors really heavy. Also the ones I have seen down have a beaver tail so the back ramp door is really steep.
Haulmarks, Interstates, Pace, etc.. are all the same quality of trailer. Mirage owners used to be with Interstate so the mirage trailers are similar. They made changes that work better for snowmobilers so I like them personally better.
If you went aluminum, there are only a couple that I would spend the money on. Featherlite is tops hands down no other trailer is in that league. The next for me would be Wells Cargos silver series. That is the trailer I would like to have but $.
This is all just my opinion so take it for what it's worth, which isnt much....
