minnesota to revelstoke BC

I am heading to revelstoke and was wondering what the best rout to get there was. Is it better to stay in the states as long as you can because google maps has me going up through minot ND into canada. Had one guy tell me to go all the way to spokan WA and then go north any input would be greatly appreciated

It might depend on where you start from.......

We've gone to Revy. about six times. Never out hwy 2 again. Cross the border as soon as you can then take a left on Canada #1 until you get there. It takes 26 hrs from Duluth and with two hour time change, you'll get there in 24. of clock. Do not take anyone with you that has had a DUI.

If there is weather coming across Banff or Glacier you might want to go across 90 to Spokane and head north to Nelson and then up that way. Just something go keep an eye on when headed that way.
