well mini, you beat me to the tour and randall only gave me a beer, at least i get to take the spyder for a scoot next spring, no problem on warranty
fab, apparantly the rear clamp is going to be okay, and the dot 's book hasn't been updated in a quite a few years, and there going to address decks and trailers, according to randall.

So what is the deal with the REAR CLAMP??? I have heard (maybe just a rumour) that the RCMP aren't accepting it as a way to secure your sleds?

raceu4it is correct.
The Rear Superclamp's design not only meets, but replaces the DOT's requirements for the rear tie down requirement, that usually calls for a securing method on each side of the sled. So it not only replaces the use of straps, but in addition eliminates compressing the suspension as a result of using straps.
