Mineral Springs - fuel available?

Wanting to do a nice long ride with wife & kids soon. Looking to go from Starlite Resort to Mineral Springs and back but curious if there's fuel available there, so I don't have to be packin it.

Also, my youngest daughter is 14 and I am wondering if anyone knows the total approximate mileage of this trip, She's done the Starlite to 29 Pines and back, and she did pretty well with that, but it was close to her tuckered-out limit. She's a year older now and I'm hoping she could handle it depending on what the extra mileage to Mineral Springs adds. Anyone done this with kids (girls, primarily) of similar age, and how was it?

Thank all in advance!

Yep, fuel. Its expensive and recreational only :)

I cant remember the mileage but MS does have fuel "recreational" fuel only. And its expensive! We rode from Wenatchee to MS to the starlite (almost), on RUV's. :D:beer;

29 Pines to Mineral Springs is 15 miles, so add 30 miles to your round trip. (map at: http://www.parks.wa.gov/winter/trails/mapdownloads/motorized/Teanaway.pdf)

Regarding the 14 year-old; it's all about the conditions and her attitude. If the weather is crappy and the trail has not been groomed, this might not be good. With good weather, fresh grooming and an early start, might be doable....I've gone from Lk. Cle Elum to MS and back on a tank, but this depends on the sled and conditions also....G'luck

I've done the 29 pines to mineral with my daughter several times. We usually go up and hit Redtop while we are at it. Plan a nice lunch at Mineral Spring, helps boost the spirits. If the groomer hasn't been on the trail though it can get brutal with whoops.
Father to Father advice, set out with a goal to make the trip but let everybody know that it's OK to not make it. It isn't much fun when they get cold tired & cranky. We may be at 29 Pines this weekend (Or Fish Lake, haven't decided). When were you going?

NWG & Lake C,

Thanks for the tips. Found the maps on the parks dept website after I posted thread. Looks like +/- 37 miles each way from Starlite. I've ridden it when nicely groomed and is definitely doable in that condition.
Any info on what the current grooming conditions are? The parks website its supposed to be listed on is very vague on their grooming schedule.

If I get there this weekend Goose it'll likely be Sunday. Or might just save that long day for one with a little better weather outlook - probably some good eye candy from up around Red Top.

Thanks again for the info guys!
