Mile-Hi Club ride cancelled

Yes, it is.

Fact is though, money gets spent on grooming which is a waste of those dollars compared to land use issues in my opinion.

The fact that you guys are taking a get together that was at corona & bringing it to gaper lake, is another similar item to me.

I had decided to join this year (I do already send money to brc & any other cause that seems to have their priorities in line with what we need, defense from the whaco's) but this is exactly the kind of decision making that tells me that it's just a bunch of trail riders that aren't willing to get out there unless the trails are perfect.

My opinion about not wanting grooming where I ride has solidified in the past few years even more. What the groups want to do is limit us to the trails & this is as far from what I & most others feel is the direction that sledding should be going,

Either way, you plan something, stick with it. That's my take, there was enough snow, it wasn't perfect, but now you relocate it a hour further away. Well, that's one membership that won't come that way this year.

Looks pretty freakin thin. There are bumps everywhere in the snow.

Ahh the day's of riding with reckless abandon! Bumps in the snow running wide open throttle not a care in the world. Glad you had fun and please uncover the big rocks for us so we can still identify them in late Dec.

Cheers to the health of both you and your sled.

BCIL, you might want to check out the "Where's the Snow" posted by Tec. After reading his evaluation of the PL and road, I am glad that we did not haul a dozen rigs up the Lakota road.

Yes, the club does sponsor family rides which are a mix of trail/meadows and gaper lake is one of them. This happens to be the first choice of the State noise guy so as to avail himself of the most exposure for a complimentary test program for our members and the public.

No one is forcing any of our members to ride trails as we have lots of other ride opportunities for the turbo Yammi club guys:beer;

We also participate in the St. Anthony Flight for Life poker run fund raiser---kind of a selfish endeavor as it is possible that a back country sledder might need an evacuation. We think our priorities are in the right place and hope other like minded sledders join us in the future.

I would like to thank the SW 4M guys that have PM'd me get on our mailing list which will be available by e-mail in 2 weeks.

Have fun rubbing your sled with a diaper this weekend :)
