The test/tune/sound test ride we planned for Sat at Corona is cancelled--not enough snow. The sound test is scheduled for Jan 9th at Idleglenn PL at 10:00 am.

If you think your sled exceeds 88dB, come to the test and find out.

bummer.

There's plenty of snow for a test/tun day, and now it's gonna be in gaper lake??

I was gonna sign up this year...weak.

Not enough snow to ride at all or not enough to get off the roads with any confidence? Is there enough still for a trail ride?

One of our guys went up on Weds to check it out and thought the snow was too thin and the logging trucks were still operating--so--its a long season and not worth the gamble + we have to consider the opinion of the State guy who was not anxious to chance it either.

I'm the Safety guy for the club and apologize to all who planned to ride with us.

BTW, the club meets on the first Weds of the month at Clements Rec Center, 1580 Yarrow Street, Lakewood. Our next meeting is our Christmas Party but our January meeting is Jan 6th and we will have Andy from BCA to demonstrate the new BCA Avy pack as well as the new Tracker--he also has an excellent avy film to show.

Anyone interested in our ride schedule and newsletter, PM me with your e-mail and I'll send it out--we also mid week ride. Dues are only $40/family with $20 going to CSA which works really hard to lobby our politicians to keep our riding areas open. The new CSA web site will be in full operation in early December--www.snowmobilecolo.com and you can get all the info there as well. Also check out Snowest Magazine, page 13, that be us:face-icon-small-hap

CSA website is www.snowmobilecolo.com, not ...colorado.

Well BCIL, looks like we won't meet again. Thanks for the offer to help in tuning.

Do the logging company's have keys to open forset service gates? They have all been closed for over a week? Here's a few shots from Last sunday up there.

Thanks for the pic from last Sunday. According to our guy that made a special trip up the hill to check out the conditions, the parking lot was slick mud and the access road had narrow ribbons of snow, which in his opinion, would have been melted further by Saturday if we did not get any snow during the week--since it did not snow during the week (that we know of) we made the decision to cancel. Don't know about the keys to the gate. We thought we had a local guy on board to manage this ride but he could not be reached--so we cancelled. Apologies to all who were counting on us but early season riding is difficult to plan.:o

I did some recon today, Found good access into the area with 10"+ on the road. Pretty much untouched other than X country ski tracks.

So BCB .. I get a thumbs down for correcting an incorrect email address or was it my sarcastic tone of voice?

IDA--I don't give anyone a Thumbs Down no matter what they say................ AS far as you correcting my mistake, Thanks, you are always welcome to join in our club's activities:beer;

Funny, a bunch of my buddies went up yesterday, plenty of snow.

This is why I don't belong to a club from Denver. You guys are scared you might come up & not have enough snow to make it the best day ever?

Now you cancel the ride & make it two months from now in stinking gaper lake?

Get out of the city more often.

I would have been happy to pay for a membership because you guys organized something useful, even though the priorities of the club are out of whack imo, but you screwed the pooch on that one.

NOPE, defiantly not enough snow to ride Yesterday  But there is enough snow for Grand Adventures to be operating.

Hey Tec-
Is that where you guys went after SnowBigDeal and I left on Sat? Looks like fun, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Sorry BCB .. it was Hammertime. I gave him a thumbs down for the noise comment (which he's removed). Guess if I dish it out .... ;)

Caleb, what did you mean by the priorities are out of wack for the club? How would you know??? If you have better ideas, then we would welcome for you to come join, participate, and share those.

It is easy being the backseat driver. . .
