Got a buddy that works for the state highway dept.- he has high hopes for the highway tomorrow. I guess the snow is pretty thin and hard almost everywhere else. Harts Pass should be good, but the trail in is gonna be miserable rough for a while.
Way better than you think up high. I was there for all of last week and we found some good riding and soft snow above 5000ish.
Eric, did you make it to Harts pass?
Got into the Methow yesterday (Tues).....About 6 inches of new and some great wind blown drifts on the ridges.....Should have more by now.....Had fog off and on all week.....
No, not Harts. It's kinda a last resort for me but I bet it's good Though.
Stop torturing me like this! I want to go riding bad and hear the Methow is getting pounded today... wish I was there! Maybe we'll get some snow over here too, but not as much predicted here as over there.

I live in the methow got a wopping 1.5 inches last night. I rode harts pass yesterday, the trail in is miserable lots of rocks and dirt. Snow up high is alright, 4-5 inches of new on top of a slick base, avy danger is climbing up there due to the slick base. In my opinion not worth the ride in and out. The Highway is the place to be right now, rode it on tuesday and it was good, new fresh tuesday night and yesterday.
Snow was great last weekend and they are supposed to get more this week. There is quite a lot of good snow up high. I'll be posting pics later from our ride last weekend hopefully
So what all is good up the hiway?? Are the chutes sliding?? Tree riding any good?? I may take a little jaunt up that way this weekend if its decent
I'll be up their saturday tripple7, if interested.
Ok ill shoot you a pm if I head that way. Ill probably end up going sunday if at all...no telling if the XP will survive friday night and saturday tree ridin!!

the hiway is the place to be!!!!!!!! see you there this weekend, but keep an eye on the avy danger, hopefully come down by this weekend

Either should be epic!! But watch for slides...avy danger is high and rising. Not a good year for growing big ballz and goin up stuff. Be safe, have fun, and ride again!!
