mesh/no hood 2010m8

ok so as far as i know, the 05-06 m sleds didn't have a big enough rectifier to
handle running the sled w/o a significant draw or you could fry your ecm.
i also believe that the 07-09 models no longer had this problem, but what about the 2010's? anyone know for sure if you can run them long term w/ no draw?

Two guys I ride with ran there 2010s about 5 rides this year with no hoods so your good.

What do you guys use to keep the snow out of your airboxes when you run without hoods?

SLP pre-filter material and the clamp that comes off of the stock intake tube works really well.

Thanks, seems like a good idea. I know Mtn Mike is asking about electrical draw issues, thinking the airbox issue is pretty well related. No derailing meant.
