Rode GC today...couple of other rigs at the snowpark, met them on their way down (done by noon...bummer). Went to the Tower...no tracks, so we dropped off the backside and hit the UNTOUCHED road all the way to right above Super Bowl...over the hood POW all the way.

Went around the other way to Presidents and again, untouched over the hood POW.

For those riding tomorrow and Sat...sorry for tracking up all the untouched roads!!

Pics to follow. Merry Xmas!!

What a great xmas present............ SNOW! We had to chain up to get out of our driveway......... :D Good day!

We thought we were going to get lucky as the sun thought about coming out...

Gold creek is north of I90 at the Hyak exit....

Brent,it may still be road riding but it looks like FUN road riding to me!!:D

My friend has a cabin up there and we were going to go for new years but Im not sure they got enough snow yet. This is the first year in a long time that the Methow valley isnt getting the snow that the cascades is. I heard Hearts pass isnt even getting snow. That is usually the first place to ride in the state.

Dang! I layed in bed til 1pm. Wishing I was up riding.....:face-icon-small-con
My phone must be broke... nope it works:D

I was thinking about heading up to Gold Creek (Hyak) to break in the new sled tomorrow (saturday). I was confused by this on the park's website though:

"Grooming will take place on Fridays for roads 1703 and 1705."

I can't find roads 1703 and 1705 on any of my maps - can anyone familiar with the area point out what area those roads are in?

Also, avy danger is forecasted as high above 3-4k. Are there known runout zones along the main roads/trails (4832, 4934, 4948, etc.)?

any other advice/observations on the area?

Thanks all.
