I'm on the other hand not surprised at all. As a non burglar I'm not concerned at all about peoples home security, but if I was interested in removing people's stuff from their homes without asking I would definitely be against all home defense weapons, alarms and such!
Unfortunately I live in a country where if I even threaten a burglar with my hunting guns I will most likely go to prison ten times as long as the burglar, (If, and that is a big IF, the burglar even gets jail time), AND have all my guns taken away for at least five years.....
