MECHANICAL REVERSE LIGHT

Hi

On a 2002 RMK I notice that the reverse light isn't wired.The light is there.So is these the way they were set up by polaris? If so is it possible to make this light work from the wiring harness in the hood,there is two extra plugs not been used.

I guess there is always a way but to do so would be quite a job. You would have to put in a push activated switch on the reverse lever on the chain case so that when the mechanical reverse is pulled the switch would make contact. Then you would have to hack into the wiring to pick up the light. The light is there for PERC application which may have been an option on some sleds in 2002. It seems like a lot of work when a glance at the reverse handle will tell you the same thing.

O I see so it was a option for a electronic reverse,mechanical reverse never ever had a rev light.
