mcx nytro header

anyone making a aftermarket header for the mcx nytros yet? mine is cracking in numerous places. its obviously a weak point in the system considering it only has 600 km. I didn't know until i took it off and inspected it. I kinda had a bad feeling when the pipe had to be spliced to begin with,poor design. for the price it should of came with a header like the impulse kit.

cracking beside factory yamaha welds both sides near 3 into 1 slip fitting, also had hole in mcx flange section (pin hole where weld was thin). my friend tigged the two pipes together, that part is fine. mcx part is steel and looked pretty rusted inside. mcx exhaust pipe also VERY rusty inside, but i changed that to a under tunnel exhaust from cr (nice product). Are you considering making one, I am pretty disappointed in this part of my kit I think others will soon be too. I bought mcx because i was told it was a quality product, now I have a $hit pipe which WILL be a ongoing problem. hopefully someone makes a good replacement part.

1800kms on my pipe and no issues that I know of....I migged the pipe to the piece from MCX and I was a little concernend about it but it hasnt cracked yet.

i saw 2 this winter crack and mcx has a flex pipe kit available now thats supose to stop the cracking .If any one needs i have a stock header thats just laying around

pipe is fine where they are joined. Thanks for the info i will check into the flex pipe kit

Heres where mine cracked....should I weld it or replace it...factory welds are pretty bad....I have another header but the welds arnt much better...what do you guys think.

check in under tunnel bracket mine ripped through there and other cracks were like yours.

Under tunnel bracket?? What exactly are you reffering too....funny thing on mine the last day out we had a great day and mine ran like a top. Are you gonna use a new header....I might try welding this one and see what happens.

Excell makes a header. I have been thinking about getting the whole Excell system, so I don't know if he sells the header on its own. It may also have larger collector tubes than stock.

Well I just welded it...we'll see what happens...I'll keep my eye on it from now on. I got a spare incase but kinda a pain to cut off the turbo flange and start over again.
