mcx 240 turbo not working

Hi, I have a 2008 turbo nytro with mcx 240 kit. The problem I have is that the sled works perfect for a couple hours in the snow and after that it starts running like a POS. It works fine untill you go full throttle and then it wont rev up all the way without missing and sputtering. Works fine when you let off the throttle a bit. Its done this the last two times out.
I have checked all the connections and plugs and put dieelectric grease on them and checked turbo lines for cracks but cant find anything.Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks

2 things. First do you have a wideband, if so whats it doing, second is your turbo exposed under the tunnel or does it have a good snow sheild. The reason I ask is that snow can get in the TCV valve and it'll freeze up then the sled ends up going fat and running like a POS.

Also check your exhaust joints and donuts. If exhaust pressure is lost through a crack they will run like crap after they heat up enough to expand. Also make sure your filter isnt plugging up with snow or ice, this will cause loss of intake creating a rich condition and run like crap when hitting boost.

Yep forgot those both good ideas.

the filter i checked on the hill and it was clean. Ill check the exhaust and donuts tonight.

Did you foud your problem?
My MCX apex do the same thing. I touhgt it was bad gas, because it did work fine when i change the gas in it. But did not last.

Have u tried a different mcx box? We had one that would sometimes run and other times not....mostly with different elevations.

We've had a couple in our group this year with similar issues which turned out to be the fuel filters plugging. Sounds like you've got an a/f gauge so you should see it lean out if that's the problem, but it's an easy one to check!

No i did not try a different MCX box. My O2 sensor is not working, i just ordered another one last night. Is there a way to chek those coil.
She is working fine if i dont have it WOT.

Thanks,

The MCX inline one. It's super simple to change and cost like 3 bucks, just a regular 3/8 barbed inline filter from napa or wherever. I havent found a place to get the in-tank filter without buying a complete stock fuel pump. Everything seemed to be getting through that one just fine and plugging the in-line ones in our group, 4 of us already this year with that issue.

Make sure that there is no water in the vacum hose to the map bar sensor to the mcx fuel box.

Ive seen similar issues on a variety of Turbo Nytros 90% of the time it has been exhaust related will pull boost but is weak and slowly degrades the more your ride it......... from exhaust with a hole directly in it to bellows cracks to donuts blown out. I replaced my header this year with Dave from Redlines header Sylvanlaker on here and my sled has ran unreal. The other time it was a fuel filter we replaced it with a bigger one off a small car and the sled ran well after that. The final thing was the actuator on the wastegate caused same kinda issue. I believe you already said you checked your compressor discharge lines through to the intercooler but you will get no boost if that was the case.

It was the filter. I just bypass it and it work fine. I will go buy another one tomorow.

Thanks for all the help.

Hey guys. Just letting you know the sled is working perfect again. I did three things so I'm not sure what did it for sure. I changed the fuel filter, moved the tcv valve and pointed it down and put dielectrical greese on connection and blew out the boost lines going to the control box.

Boost is the best when it is working. Glad to have it again :)

Thanks again for all the advice
