Clutching
Ok, so I did find two crack on the header pipe as was noted above. I welded these up and reinstalled, then it was worse! Then I pulled off again and when I reinstalled the middle weld on the bracket broke loose and left a huge hole, so I patched and welded that up also and reinstalled. Everything sealed up good now.
As for clutching as per above I did the recommended and have a few questions (BWB primary, 8BU's loaded with 9g = 59g weights, Cat green sec spring set at 0-1 = 10*, and shockwave at 1.5 turns out):
1. I noticed from just ripping around my place that my clutches are quite hot, didn't seem to be this hot before?
2. The primary spring seams to be getting wear on the first couple wraps on the outside of the spring closest to the engine, looks like its touching the clutch when closing, is this normal or why would this happen?
3. Engages at about 4000 rpm now and revs higher when cruising, I assume this is normal as it makes the sled more snappy feeling as it pretty much starts pulling boost off the hop.
Overall it pulls great this way and I do like it but just want to get some clarification on whats normal. Should I run a new belt also, would this change anything, old belt seems OK but I don't know how many miles are on it.
Thanks.
