MCX 180 missing on low end

Put an MCX 180 on my 09 Nytro last year. Have noticed the last 2 rides that I have a miss (2 little blurps) when I hammer the throttle when starting at low RPM's. It is fine when I roll the throttle on. Have also noticed that when I get to the trailer at end of day I have a whining noise coming from the engine area. When I turn the key off it almost sounds like a siren winding down. Does not make this noise at start up. Am going to start on this in morning and was hoping somebody might have an idea where to start.
Thanks

what would happen on the AFR gauge in this situation? I have a similar situation on my nytro but the gauge reads real rich (around 10 or so) so I assumed it was my fuel settings. I am still tuning mine in.

Not trying to jack this post i thought the answer might help both of us.

what turbo kit?

It is a kit I built.

photos at the bottom, mine is acting just like eyefish's (except I dont get the whining noise). I notice it down real low, if i dont start from a stop it is non-existent. I am using a GEM box, I know this is for a supercharger, I talked to MPI they said I should be able to get it close. I bought the GEMs used, cheap. When the burble happens it goes real rich, around 10 on the AFR gauge. Aside from that it runs great. other than the fact I need a smaller actuator, it is over boosting.

I wonder if my issue is the fact the GEMs is for a super and it adds a little fuel at the start where with the turbo it is not needed. I guess I was looking to see if when there is a boost leak like what you guys are saying, can you see it on the AFR gauge? Or is my situation different from Eyefish and mine is too rich/robbing power.

I have the copper exhaust donuts in mine. Took everything apart yesterday and found one hose that may be the problem. When I loaded it onto the trailer last night I was playing on the ice on the street and still had a miss but engine was not totally warmed up so we will see this weekend if I got the problem fixed. We are currently getting dumped on so there will be snow to play. There has not been enough snow so far this year to look at the boost guage since I am always looking for stumps and stuff sticking out of the snow.

that sounds like you are just getting to much fuel ,but depending on the fueling box & type of boost leak they can be differnt.some will go lean from a boost leak, if its a box that does not add fuel till it reads a certaint amount of boost like the boost it system.but if its a small leak the box will read boost & add fuel but because your lossing boost it will go rich not enough air to burn the fuel.i have a almost new pureloggic box for a nytro if you want it cheap.

hey vector, are you getting my PMs on the purelogic box?

Yeah, cuz i wasted so much time looking for the tricky problem, when should have started with the basics, tip: eliminate the basics, then look for the tricky ones.
