In the same boat. Have never been to either location but want to head that way Presidents weekend. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also looking at Togwotee or Alpine Wyoming.
there is quite a bit more snow depth in Mccall right now than Priest. I'll be in Mccall this weekend and can give an update on conditions. An inversion last week brought very warm temps to high elevations in North Idaho, then cold nights, making very icy snow.
Just to give you a update on McCall, it's dumping right now and the snow box is showing that we got 5" overnight .
You might already know but check out Brundage.com and look at the live cams two of the cams have snow boxes.

Not only do they let you know what the avalanche conditions are in the area, they have the best weather forecasts and information on current snow conditions.
