McBride December 09 Conditions

We rode Renshaw on Saturday Dec 5 and had a great time, tons of snow, the visibility was a little tough at times but there was endless powder. Then on Sunday we rode Lucille Mountain, the main area by the Cabin was quite tracked up but as you moved into the lower area's it was less tracked with alot of area's with 1 - 2' powder. We went down into the Butterfly and it was untouched with areas from 1 - 3' powder, you could get up and over into the next area but time was limited so I stayed out. Here are a few pics.

great post rknight11! we should get this post stickied!!! i cant wait to head out tomorrow just have to break in the brothers sled and then heading to renshaw. so pumped to get on some snow!

Place to stay while riding in the area

Hey. A few of us are thinking about headed up Mcbride way for some riding near the end of Jan. Is there any cabins or huts where 4 or 5 of us could stay at for a few nights? We'd rather stay in a riding zone and sled access our accomodations instead of in town and drive in/unload/load/crack a beer/etc everyday.

I can check and get back to you on this. Theres not to many off of Renshaw. Not like Revy.
I'll be up there between xmas and new years, and will post updates here and on snowandmud, and some pics too.

Been to Mcbride many times, gotta trailer to the riding areas. Lucille mountain is only about 3 minutes from town and a 10 minute trail ride up to the alpine. Renshaw is about 20 minutes from town and a 25 km trail ride but well worth the trip.

We were at Renshaw again, It was a very busy. We went to Shale mountain, past sprit lake. The snow was nice there not to busy, we seen about 30 other sleds there. The snow was about 1' powder, And a bit deeper in the bush for boondockers. We had a great day riding, blue sky's, sun, what more do you want.
