MBRP cans + mountain riding

Has anyone had trouble running an MBRP can on their sled riding in the mountains between 5-9000 ft? I have a 2007 Skidoo XRS 800 powertek, putting in a clutch kit and re-jetting. Thanks.

I have a MBRP can on my sled (06 summit X) and have no problems. We have a riding group of 8, two are running the stock suitcase the rest of us have MBRP cans three (6oo sdi) two (07 800r) and My (06 800) I know that the Skidoo dealer that we bought from will only sell that brand of can! Not sure what kind of problems you were thinking may arise but We ride from 2500' - 10000' and the only thing some have to do is change the clutch clickers the odd day. The sound is real sweet and the weight loss can't hurt either.

Thanks for the input everyone. Some people were telling me that I would lose lots of power, risk blowing up the sled etc etc. when riding at higher altitude with the can on. I currently ride at around 800-1500 ft. But so many people use cans in the mountains and I've never heard of any problems directly related to the cans themselves. As long as my clutches and jetting is set properly I should be good to go. Just thought I'd get the lowdown straight from the people who regularly ride in the mountains, it never hurts to ask.

Thanks.

They are a good can. I have one on my 06. If you want to get right down to it, they are a tad loose for mtn riding but not a huge loss

I have one on my 01 mtn cat. I love it. Sounds excellent, and fits great. My buddy has one on his M7. It sounds good, but fit like crap...once he got it mounted, it runs good.

Yep I have one on my M8 and love it. Sounds amazing and a nice weight loss. I haven't noticed any boging or anything with it. My only complaint is as said above was the fitment was kinda $h!ty. I had to hack up the exhaust deflector in the shock well pretty ood to get it to fit.
